OBJECTIVES

The provisions contained in The Companies (Directors’ Report) and Limited Liability Partnerships (Energy and Carbon Report) Regulations 2018 came into force on 1 April 2019 and applied to financial years starting on or after 1 April 2019. This SESCA Bites session will examine current issues with the disclosures on carbon and sustainability required by FDs and what the auditor needs to know when reviewing the disclosures. Narrative suggests that these disclosures when required fall below expectation and requirements in many sets of financial statements.
