OBJECTIVES

This 6 hour recorded series will look at the eight universal principles of good governance set out in the refreshed code. The 9 bite-sized recordings will provide practical advice on how charities can use the new Code to strengthen governance practice and signpost additional sources of support and guidance.

This series is aimed at anyone supporting charities when they are using the Code to improve charity governance, including finance professionals, company secretaries, internal governance leads, external governance advisors, charity executive team leaders and trustees.

From this series, you will gain a good understanding of:

• The eight universal principles.
• Behaviours, policies, processes, and practices that may be needed to achieve each principle.
• Expected outcomes and signs of improved governance when a principle is working well.
• Evidence that a charity and its trustees can gather to assure funders and other stakeholders that it is being well run.

We will also explore how good governance can help a charity meet its goals and deliver increased impact.
