OBJECTIVES

The course provides a good overview of a number of areas of law, concentrating on the topics likely to be most useful to you in your day-to-day dealings with clients and staff. There are a number of important changes to employment law which have been introduced by the government and more changes are planned.  Broadly the course will attempt to cover the legal issues that accountants who assist SMEs are likely to deal with or be asked about in the course of their normal work and will round up all the important statutory changes and key case law from the previous 12 months, as well as what to expect in the next 12 months or so.  The course is updated up to three weeks or so from the date it is presented, so the topics below are only a guide.
