The EU has a significant impact on both direct and indirect taxation. The EU sets Customs policies through the application of the Common External Tariff. It provides the framework for VAT. Its powers in terms of Direct taxation are less well known although its State Aid powers affect both Income Tax and Corporation Tax.
This seminar reviews the EU's current tax powers and what may change when BREXIT happens. It will also explain government measures to ease any transition and what steps businesses should take to protect their interests.
