OBJECTIVES

By the end of the course delegates will be:

  • Able to identify the actions they must take as a result of those sections of the Act which have been implemented and which are most relevant to the accountant
  • Aware of the likely impact of the areas of the Act awaiting implementation.

All partners and staff involved in advising companies in the UK. The course is also relevant for accountants in business who wish to keep up-to-date with changes in company legislation

The government have set out a draft implementation timetable for the key sections of the new Act. In this course, we will update you on the progress made to date.

If the planned timetable is achieved then the course will include:

  • Directors' duties
  • Resolutions and meetings
  • Changes affecting companies – with an emphasis on small businesses
  • The new provisions for accounts and reports
  • How the Act affects the auditor
  • An overview of provisions which are still waiting to be implemented.
